Mercedes S500 Custom License Plate CIAOBBY

Here is North Scottsdale, this flagship Mercedes model seems to be quite ubiquitous these days.  This just happens to be the car of choice for many Scottsdale-ites who want to push a fly whip.

How do I feel about this plate?  Ehh…  The car is hot so that is enough.  Good enough for a Top Ten spot?  I’d like to hear your thoughts…

Nissan Armada Vanity License Plate “Gr8Fam” for Great Family Vehicle

I must admit I am a bit partial to Nissan Vehicles.  This one captured my attention as the obvious “soccer mom” vehicle.

This family land vessel as what I call a middle of the road plate, I don’t love it nor do I hate it.   I guess you can say this one is just “cute.”  Notice the little Christmas tree on the car too.  It’s families like this that know what the Christmas, er, holiday, er, Christmas spirit is all about. 

Damn, I have to make sure I am not offending and non-Christian readers…Happy Kwanzaa!

Cadillac Escalade EXT Custom License Plate BLUNFST

Now even thought the body style of this ride has since changed, I sitll am in love with every bit of it.  Some of that loves comes from this vehicle being feature first in Usher’s “You dont have to call” music video.  Ever since then I was sold.

This particular Escalade or Esca-la-ta-tay, as I often erronously pronounce it, is very clean with the bright blue paint and some very, very, very nice and LARGE “THANGS” on it.  (in my world, THANGS can refer to wheels or rims on a car…word of the day) 

I had a chance to snap a few photos while the owner was inside Subway.  Obviouosly the car is very blue…now the questions becomes, is the Escalade very fast too?  We’ll never know.

This has to be my most enjoyable license plate experience so far.  On Cave Creek & Union Hills in Phoenix Arizona, I came across a very interesting duo.  I watched them exit the store and walk toward they’re vehicle. When my eyes left them so see what the couple was driving I was delighted to see they had a very unique and interesting  vanity license plate.  I had to engage…

I excused myself and approached.  I asked if I could take a picture of their car for my custom license plate blog.  They actually replied whth excitement and curiosity.  Once I was finished telling them about it, they then asked “Let’s do a photo with us in it?”  Without hesitation I replied with “Sure!”  I thought that they meant just the two of them posing as a couple for the blog.  Just as I got my camera ready, without a word to each other, they both walked to the back of their car, dropped to their knees and gave one hell of a rock star pose!  It was fun, it was funny and damn it I liked this unique couple!

The best part of the story (for me) is that as we were wrapping up our brief moment of excitement, I told the owners that I have a picture of the other owners who beat them to the punch and got the spelling with an “I.”  I promised to put that one up later…I am sure the people with the “I” aren’t nearly as a cool couple as Robby and Tory.

People, put some damn thought into your custom or vanity license plates.

Seriously.  If your really contemplating getting your own custom or otherwise know as vanity license plates, do us all a favor and put some thought and creativity into it.  Think of something that best represents you or what ever is dear to you, things your passionate about or makes you money.  Even though your heart and soul make be poured into your own vanity or custom license plate idea, you still may get laughed at by other idiots like myself who just feel  your licence plates are stupid, boring or we just don’t get it. 

But that’s okay! 

They are yours! 

You know what they mean!   You know what they represent!  

Or it may just be plain funny or cool to YOU and YOU ALONE and that is all that matters.

 So I leave you with this Arizona moron who felt the need to tell the world that he couldn’t walk…

Now this is one of those “cute” plates that you see driving around.  Again, “cute” is the operable word.  I’ll admit, they accomplished what they wanted to let the world know that at any moment this whip could be topless. 

I would have much rather seen this plate on a 2008 BMW 650, but an overall good plate.  What are you thoughts?

Nothing like a little Island Escapism to Margaritaville…

Wow…someone actually has a Jimmy Buffet tribute license plate.  I can’t wait to see the MKLJKSN or the ELVSKNG drivers on the road. 

Seeing this plate made me want to head to Tommy Bahama and spent $300 on an ugly bowling shirt, open up the top 3 buttons and let my chest hairs blow in the wind.   Margarita anyone?

I gotta give it to this Parrothead, he shows his loyalty proudly.  I bet when this guys pulls up to Tommy Bahama he is the MAN!

I know a vato mobile when I see one.  Living in San Antonio for 13 years had made a pro at spotting lowriders, badly done import tuners and sometimes some nice classic old school cars blaring SPM from the 6×9’s mounted on the rear deck.

Although this car didn’t have kicked out rims, the infamous ”Hernandez” decal on the back or Tejano blaring from the broken windows ,it did manage to have a decent paint job, some euro altezza lights and the aftermarket (circa 1991) mini-truck slanted bumper installed. 

At first I was laughing hilariously because I thought that the plate said “LILHOMIES” kinda like the little vatos you can buy at Food City for $0.25 in the little machines…as I got closer I learned I was wrong.  It simply reads the nombre “LILHIME” as in Lil’ Jaime!  Orale ese!

Just for you Dallas Cowboys Fans!

This Ford F-150 owner is proud of his team.  This loyal patron has the custom plate, the sticker, the plate holder and no telling what else. 

 I am sure this guy stepped out of the truck with his Cowboy boots tucked into his nut huggers while spittin’ some dip onto the concrete. 

I am sure you all can tell that I am not a Dallas Cowboy fan!  I grew up in San Antonio and it wasn’t so much that I hated “America’s Team” but I couldn’t stand the fans. They were obnoxious, mean and thought they were God’s gift to the NFl as far as fans are concerned.  Whew…now I am sure that is a huge generalization but who cares?  If you don’t like it…get your own blog.

Little Johnny was in his Kindergarten class when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up – fireman, policeman, salesman.

Johnny was being uncharacteristically quiet, and so the teacher asked him about his father.
